That said committee report the names and bids of all par-
ties proposing for the whole or any part of the printing.
No contract or agreement for the whole or any part of said
printing to take effect, and no printing to be done, under or
by authority of the same, until both Houses shall have ap-
proved of such contract or agreement.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
Mr. Griswold, chairman of the joint select committee ap-
pointed to wait upon his Excellency the Governor, to inform.
him that the two Houses of the General Assembly, were-
organised, and ready to receive any communication he might
be ready to make, reported that they had performed that duty,
and that the Governor had requested them to state that he
would communicate with the House by message, on to-morrow
morning, at the opening of the Session.
On motion of Mr. Stone,
At 3 3/4- o'clock, P. M., the House adjoined until to-morrow
morning at' 11 o'clock.
FRIDAY, January 5, 1872.
The House met.
