Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee on Claims. Also, delivered The bill en titled an Act to amend section 21, of Article VII. of the Code of Public Local Laws of Carroll county, by adding a sub-section, making judgments of Justices of the Peace, in that county, liens en the real and leasehold prop- erty. Which was read a first time and referred to the Carroll delegation. Also, delivered The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Chesapeake Immigration Land and Improvement Company of the State of Maryland, Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays," Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit- tee on Corporations. Also, delivered the following message: BY THE SENATE, March 29, 1872. Gentlemen of the Rouse of Delegates : We have received your message proposing the appoint- ment of a Joint Committee of Conference, to consist of two on the part of the Senate and three on the part of the House of Delegates, to consider and report upon the amendments upon the bill entitled "an Act to transfer the sum of money appropriated by chapter 383, section I, Acts of General As- sembly of 1870, to the Elkton and Massey's Railroad. Com- pany, from said Company to the Middletown and Elkton Railroad Company, and concur therein. We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Miller and Spencer.
