On motion of Mr. Colton, of St. Mary's,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to amend the Act of January Session, 1868,
Chapter 150, incorporating the Southern Maryland Railroad
Company.
On motion of Mr. Streett,
Leave was granted to the Harford delegation to introduce
a bill to authorize Robert H. Smith, Frank Magaw, Joseph
M. Simms and James Boyce, to build a bridge in Harford
county across the Spesutia Island Narrows.
On motion of Mr. Miller,
Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to introduce
a bill entitled, "An Act authorizing the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick county to subscribe to the Liberty,
Johnsviile and Pipe Creek Turnpike Company," of said
county.
On motion of Mr Travers,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill extending the jurisdiction of Magistrate's in the
City of Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Stone,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries to introduce a bill repealing 16th sec-
tion of Article 41 of Code of Public General Laws, entitled
(< Fish and Fisheries," also repealing 4th section of Act of
General Assembly, passed 28th February, 1860, entitled "An
Act to amend sections 12, 14, 15 and 16 of Code of Public
General Laws relating to Fish and Fisheries on Potomac
river."
On motion of Mr. Stone,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to in-
troduce a bill to provide for the education of the Colored
Children of this State.
Mr. Streett, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported.
