Also, The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125. 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140, 141, 142 and 143, of Article XXI. of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Washington County," sub-title "Hagerstown," and to repeal the Act of Assembly, passed at the January Session, 1867, chapter 258, entitled an Act to amend Article XXI. of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Washington County," by amending and re-enacting certain sections, and adding thereto further sections, and to re-enact the same with amendments, so as to elect the Coun- cilmen of Hagerstown by the voters in their respective words of said town, and authorize the Justices of the Peace to en- force the ordinances relating to Crimes and Punishments. Which was read a first time and referred to the Wash- ington county delegation. The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Carrollton Fire- insurance Company of Baltimore, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Pea- body Savings' Bank of Baltimore, Was read H second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills, Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays :" The bill entitled an Act to amend section 1, of Article XXXVIII., Code of Public General Laws, title " Fees of Officers," as amended by chapter 441, of the Act of 1870, by repealing and re-enacting the same as amended. Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit- tee on the Judiciary. Also, The bill entitled an Act granting to the United States of America a further addition to the site of the Naval School at Annapolis, and ceding the jurisdiction over the same. |
