120 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 23,
the building of a Court House, in Washington county, may
be left in the hands of the County Commissioners, instead of
a Commission to De appointed by the Legislature,
Which was read, and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
Mr. Whitson presented the petition of Joseph Unshard,
Henry Newcomer, Joseph Garver and fifty others, citizens of
Washington county, praying for an Act authorizing the
County Commissioners to build a new Court House.
Also,
The petition of William Logan, B. A. Garlinger, B. M.
Mobley and thirty-seven other citizens of Washington county,
praying an Act 10 authorize the County Commissioners to
build a new Court House.
Also,
The petition of P. R. Ziegler and one hundred and sixteen
other citizens of Washington county, praying for an Act to
authorize the County Commissioners to build a new Court
House.
Which were severally read, and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on that subject.
Mr. Ardinger presented the petition of Isaac Motter, Ed.
Friend, Victor Cushwa and one hundred and fifty other
citizens of Washington county, praying for an Act to author-
ize the County Commissioners to build a new Court House.
Which was read, and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
Mr. Foard, of Baltimore county, presented the petition of
James W. Parlett, Andrew Donhe and thirty-two other citi-
zens of Baltimore and Harford counties, asking such legisla-
tion as will compel the Harford Turnpike Company to place
their road in a good aud safe condition.
Which was read, and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
Mr. Newcomer presented the petition of S. O. Huyett.
Jno. C. Ankney, J.T. Leiter, B. F. Beck and fifty others,
praying that the building of a Court House, in Washington
county, may be left in the hands of the County Commission-
ers, instead of a Commission to be appointed by the Legisla-
ture.
Which was read, and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject,
