1142 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS Mar. 26,
Mr. Henkle submitted the following amendment;
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Chapter 11, section 4, line 2, strike out the words "each
quarterly meeting and," and also strike out the word
"other," in the same line.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Henkle submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Chapter 12, section 10, line 5, strike out the words "State
Board of Education," and insert "Board of County School
Commissioners.''
Which was adopted.
Mr. Streett submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Chapter 18, section 3, strike out lines 1, 2 and 3, and words
"this sum," in line 4, and insert alter the word "appor-
tion," in line 4, the words "the sum appropriated for the
"support of the public schools."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Henkle submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Miscellaneous, section 1, line 5, after the word "Act,"
strike out to "the Judges," in line 9.
Which was adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Stewart gave notice that he would move to reconsider
the vote by which printed bill, No. 97, was lost, for want of
a Constitutional majority
The following bills, having passed both Branches of the
General Assembly, were this day submitted to his Excel
lency, the Governor, for his approval:
An Act to enable or advise the County Commissioners of
Allegany county, under 'Article I., of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Allegany County," under the head of
"County Commissioners,' to appoint a County Treasurer to
receive and disburse the county taxes under their orders, by
adding after section 20, of said Article, the following sub-
section thereto.
