1872.] OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES. 1137 The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Savings' Bank of Cambridge, Maryland. Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit- tee on Corporations. Also, The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Orphans' Court of Calvert county, to have the delapidated and worn records in the office of the Register of Wills in said county trans- cribed. Which was read and referred to a Select Committee, con- sisting of Messrs. Bond, Sparrow and Dunbar. Also, The bill entitled an Act to provide for the destruction of hawks and owls, and to protect the class of small birds known as insectivorous birds, in Prince George's county. Which was read a first time and referred to the Prince 'George's delegation. Also, The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 26, of an Act passed at December Session, 1814, chapter 71, entitled an Act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from the square, in the town of Boonsboro', Washington county, to Swearinger's Ferry, on the Potomac River. Which was read and referred to the Washington delega- tion. Also, The bill entitled an Act directing the County Commis- sioners of Washington county to pay owners of property used And occupied by the Circuit Court of Washington county, the Orphans' Court, Register of Wills, Clerk of the Circuit Court, ("Sheriff, and the County Commissioners, from the time of the destruction of the Court House in said county, and until the same shall be rebuilt, and to authorize the Clerk of the Court and Register of Wills to appoint a watchman to watch the public records and provide payment for his ser- vices. Which was read a first time and referred to the Washing- ton delegation. On motion of Mr. Franklin, (the rules being suspended,) The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Town Commissioners of Newton, to endorse the bonds of the Worcester and Somer-^ |
