So the amendment was adopted. Mr. Smith moved that the further consideration of the bill be indefinitely postponed, Pending which, Mr. Smith demanded the previous question. The question then being, "Shall the main question be now put?" Mr. Smith demanded the yeas and nays. The demand being sustained, the yeas and nays were called, and appeared, as follows:
