The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the -day, The House then proceeded to the consideration of the un- finished business of the 22d instant, being, The bill entitled an Act to provide for the purchase, con- -atruction and furnishing of suitable grounds and buildings for the State Normal School. The question recurring upon the adoption of the amendment submitted by Mr. Stewart on the 22d instant. AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Section 1, line 7, strike out the word "seventy," and in- sert the words "one hundred and." The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend- ment, Mr, Henkle demanded the previous question. The question then being, "'Shall the main question be now put?" It was decided in the affirmative. 4 The question recurring upon the adoption of the amendment, Mr. Stewart demanded the yeas and nays. The demand being sustained, The yeas and nays were called and appeared, as follows :
