A petition of Mrs. Eliza E. Schrote, widow of Mathias
Schrote, asking for a pension.
Also,
A petition of Mrs. Eliza Timanus, widow of John Timanus,
asking for a pension.
Also,
A petition of Mrs. Catharine Peregoy, widow of James C.
Peregoy, asking for a pension.
Also,
A petition of Mrs. Lavenia J, Pendleton, widow of Daniel
Pendleton, asking for a pension.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.
Mr. Hurtt presented the petition of the Hon. George
Vickers, Jacob Ball and other citizens of Kent county, ask-
ing for the closing of Barber Shops on the Sabbath day.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary,
Mr. Smith submitted the following order :
Ordered, That William S. Vickers, Esq., a member of this
House, have leave of absence until Tuesday next.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Mearns submitted the following order:
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that James
B. Groome, is detained from his seat in this House, by death
in his family.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Langrell submitted the following order :
Ordered, That Mr. Johnson be granted leave of absence
until Wednesday next, to visit his family.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Hardcastle submitted the following order :
Ordered, That when this House adjourn it stand adjourned
until Tuesday next, at 12 o'clock.
Which was read.
Mr. Smith submitted the following amendment;
Strike out "Tuesday," and insert Monday.
