The bill entitled an Act to amend and re-enact sections 47,
49, 50, 51 and 63, of Article LXXXI, title "Revenue and?
Taxes," of the Code of Public General Laws, and to repeal
sections 54, 55, 56, 67 and 59, of the same Article.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to refund to Morgan H. dark,
of Washington county, the sum of fifty dollars paid by him
into the Treasury, on or about the 24th of January, 1872.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at Jan-
uary Session, 1870, chapter 61, entitled an Act for the pro-
tection offish and terrapins in the tributaries of the Poto-
mac river, lying in St. Mary's county, and to regulate the
time and manner of taking fish and terrapins in that portion
of the Potomac river between Cobb Point, in Charles coun-
ty, and Point Lookout, in St. Mary's county, and to substi-
tute the following in lieu thereof.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Charles
and St. Mary's delegations.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 411, passed January Session, 1870, entitled an Act to add additional sections.
to Article LXIX., of the Code of General Public Laws, title-Officers," regulating and prescribing the number and com-
pensation of officers of the Senate and House of Delegates,,
and repealing all Acts inconsistent therewith.
Which was read a first time, and referred to a Select Com-
mittee, consisting of Messrs Clark, of Baltimore City, Turn-
er, and dark, of Montgomery.
