Which was read a first time, and referred, to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to add a sub-section to an Act
passed at January Session, 1870, chapter 240, entitled an
Act to repeal section 39, of Article XX. of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title "Talbot County," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Talbot
delegation.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 8, of an Act
passed at January Session, 1870, chapter 325, entitled an
Act to amend Article LXXXI. of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title "Revenue and Taxes," by adding sub-sec-
tions 6, 6, 7 and 8, to section 34, of Article LXXXI., and
relating to the appointment of collectors and collections of
' taxes so far as said section 8 relates to Washington county,
and to extend the provisions of the said Act of 1870, chapter
325, to Washington county.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Washing-
ton delegation.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay for necessary repairs of the State House, and paving
the carriage way to the Governor's Mansion.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Public Buildings.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment of
Samuel Lutz and Sarah A. Sook, of Washington county, of
arrears of pensions by the omission from the Acts passed at
January Session, 1870, chapter 477.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Claims.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act passed
at January Session, 1853, chapter 129, entitled an Act to
incorporate a company to construct a turnpike road from
Hagerstown, in Washington county, to the town of Sharps-
burg, and also an Act passed at January Session, 1861, chap-
ter 150, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Hagers-town and Sharpsburg Turnpike Company, passed at January
Session, 1853, chapter 129.
