1064 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS Mar. 22, Pending which, Mr, Clark, of. Baltimore City, moved that the whole sub- ject be referred to the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries. On motion of Mr. Young, of Allegany, The whole subject was laid on the table. The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following message BY THE SENATE, March 20th, 1872. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates : We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body, the appointment of a Joint Committee of Conference on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses, on the bill entitled an Act to pay to William Knabe & Co., the sum of thirteen hundred and fifty dollars, for one grand piano and extra cloth cover furnished to the Executive Mansion. We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Earle, Carroll and Longwell.. By order, A. GASSAWAY, Secretary*. Which was read. Mr. Stone submitted the following message: BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, March 22, 1872. Gentlemen of the Senate: We have received your message, proposing a Committee of Conference on the disagreeing votes of the two House, on the® bill to pay to William Knabe & Go., a sum of money, and respectfully concur therein. We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs. Stone, Staylor and Henkle. By order, . MILTON Y. KIDD, ' Chief Clerk. Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate. Also, returned ' The bill entitled an Act to incorporate Liberty, in Fred- erick county, Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed anendment." |
