Resolved, That the Senators from Baltimore, and the Rep-
resentatives of the City in the House of Delegates, be earn-
estly requested to use their best efforts to secure the passage,
"without delay, of the Act now pending before the Legislature,
proposing to give the power referred to, as well as -the Act
giving the City the power to extend the limits of direct tax-
ation . ,
-Resolved, That the Mayor be requested to communicate,
as speedily as possible, a copy of these resolution to the
President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Dele-
gates.
I hereby certify the aforegoing is a true copy of an original
resolution, which was adopted by the Second Branch
of the City Council of Baltimore, on the 29th day of
March, 1872.

the City Council of Baltimore, on the 21st day of
March, 1872.

ing suspended,) reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claims of Kelly, Piet & Co. and W. F. Supplee.

Mr. Sasscer, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules
being suspended,) reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to create an additional Election Dis-
trict in Prince George's county, to be styled the Eleventh
District of Prince George's county. :

Mr. Porter, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rule*
being suspended,} reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to prohibit the issuing of any license
tor the Bale of Spirituous liquors within the corporate limits
