Mr. Smith, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favorably, A bill entitled an Act to authorize and require the Gov- ernor to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace in Dis- trict No. 12, Williamsburg, Dorchester county. Which was read a first time. Mr. Groome, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favorably, A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Chatsworth Fe- male Institute. Which was read a first time. Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations, reported unfavorably, The bill entitled an Act to repeal flections 1 and 2, of chapter 100, of the Acts of 1866, entitled a further supple- ment to an Act to incorporate the Baltimore City Passenger Railway Company, and to re-enact the same with amend- ments. Mr. Kirk moved to substitute the bill for the unfavorable report of the Committee. Pending which, The hoar having arrived for taking up the order of the day, The House proceeded to the consideration of The bill entitled an Act to create a loan to provide for the completion and furnishing of the buildings for the Maryland Hospital at Spring Grove, in Baltimore county. Said bill being upon a third reading, The bill was then read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows ;
