1872. OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES. 1645
On motion of Mr. Goldsborongh,
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill referred to Messrs. Goldsborough, Butler and Johnson.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
severally endorsed, " passed by yeas and nays:"
A hill entitled an Act to incorporate the Mechanics' Sav-
ings Bank of Baltimore.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to define and preserve the harbor
at Crisfield, on the Little Annameesix River, in Somerset
county.
Which was read a. first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to refund to Thomas' Clagett,
Charles Clagett, W. Wheeler, Attorney of William De-
Craux, and Isaac Scaggs, certain sums of money erroneously paid by them into the Treasury of Maryland.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Claims.

an Act to incorporate a company to make a Turnpike road
from Hagerstown, in Washington county, to the Pennsylvania line passed at December Session, 1846, chapter 333,'
and to re-enact the same, so as to read w follows. '
Which was read a first time and referruJ to the Wash-
ington delegation.
Mr. Colton, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported unfavorably,
A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of. B9.oney to
pay the claims of John Reddish, Adam Nagel, Lewis Wag-
ner, Joseph Barnlach, J. Cromwell & Bro., Edward Gross,
Robert Ashcroft, Stevens & Newcaan, H. Lauge & Co.,
Conrad & Hepner, Wm. F. Shaw, Jr., Daniel Rogers,
Thos. dark & Bro., J. G. Ramsay & Go., R. Calanon,
Joseph F. King, Joseph Oskins, E. H. Frazier & Go., W.
