Mr. Meekins presented the petition of C. F. Goldsborough
and 118 other citizens of Dorchester eeunty, asking the pas-
sage of a law for the relief of the sureties of Martin L. Wall,
Collector of State taxes for said county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Hopkins submitted the following order :

On motion of Mr. Ritter,

Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to report a
bill to repeal section one hundred and fifty-three, of Article
eleven, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Freder-
ick County," sub-title "Inspections," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Veitch,

Leave was granted to the Montgomery delegation to au-
thorize the Union Plank Road or Turnpike Company, of
Montgomery county, to agree with the Baltimore andOhio
Railroad Company as to terms upon which the Washington
and Point of Rocks Branch of said road shall cross said Turn-
pike.

On motion of Mr. Wells,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Public Buildings
to introduce a bill in reference to the claims of Mr. William
Black for the purchase of a lot and the erection thereof of a
stable and carriage house for the State of Maryland, in the
City of Annapolis.

On motion of Mr. Sanner,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to in-
troduce a bill to provide an additional number of Constables

for Baltimore city.

On motion of Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Howard delegation to introduce
a bill to authorize the Commissioners of Howard county, t o
change the place of holding elections in the sixth (6th)
election district of said county.

an Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Baltimore
