Mr. Harrington submitted the following amendment:

Chapter 4, section 1, line 6, after the word "Examiner,"
strike out the words : and fix his "salary," and insert: whose
salary and that of the Examiner shall be fixed by the Board
of County Commissioners.

Which was read.

Mr. Kilbourn submitted the following amendment as a
substitute for the amendment submitted by Mr. Harrington:

Chapter 4, section Inline 6, strike out the-words: "and
fix hia salary."

Which was rejected.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
amendment submitted by Mr. Harrington,

It was rejected.

Mr. Hopkins submitted the following amendment:

Chapter 4, section 1, line 5, after the word "schools," in-
sert : excepting Harford county.

Which was read.

Mr. Ehlen moved the House do now adjourn.
