Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
Teported favorably.

A bill entitled an Act to regulate the trial fees of the

State's Attorney for Dorchester county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Marbury, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported,
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
missioners of Prince George's county to subscribe in behalf

of said connty, to the capital stock of Turnpike Companies,
and issue bonds for the same, and provide for their redemp-
tion.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Standish, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to change the location of toll-gates

on the National Road.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Wiley, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 1, of Article 67, of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Notaries Public,"
and re-enact the same with amendments, so as to provide an
additional Notary Public for the City of Baltimore thoroughly
conversant with the German language.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to enable the Mtyor and City Coun-

cil of Baltimore to endorse the first mortgage bonds of the
Lynchburg and Danville Railroad Company to the amount
of seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars, and to submit
the ordinance providing for such endorsement to the legal
voters of the City of Baltimore.

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills :

The bill entitled an Act to provide for maintaining and
keeping in repair the public roads of Anne Arundel county,

and to repeal the Act passed at January session, 1868, chap-
ter 299, so far as the same applies to Anne Arundel county,

Endorsed, ''Passed by yeas and nays."

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Walnut Level

Coal and Iron Company of Maryland,
