Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
(the rules being suspended,) reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Turner Avenue
Company.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled a supplement to an Act to incorporate the
Maryland Democratic Association, passed at January session
1868.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Choate, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend chapter 90, passed at Janu-
ary session 1868, entitled an Act to incorporate the Deer Park
Turnpike Road Company, of Baltimore county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Shower, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to empower the Mayor and Common
Council of Manchester to subscribe to the capital stock of the
Parkton and Manchester Railroad.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Choate, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the Coun-
ty Commissioners of Baltimore county to sell stock of Turn-
pike roads owned and held by Baltimore county.

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill:

The bill entitled an Act to repeal-sections 345 and 346 of
chapter 11, of the Public Local Laws of Frederick county,
sub-title, "Wards," and re-enact the same with amend-
ments,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments.

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Add at the end of section 345, the following words :

Provided, That nothing herein contained shall be con-
strued to deprive any pei son convicted before a Justice of the
Peace under the provisions of this section, the right of ap-
peal to the Circuit Court for Frederick county.
