Mr. Wiley, chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 808, Article 4, of
the Code of Public Local Laws of the City of Baltimore, re-
lating to the Clerk to the Board of Police Commissioners,
and the salary thereof, and to amend and re-enact the same.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Bowlus, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to make valid the bequest of Eliza-
beth Routzahn.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Gatch, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the removal of the
State Hay Scales, located in the eastern section of Baltimore
city, the intersection of O'Donnel street, with the western
boundary of Baltimore county, to a more desirable location.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Sanner, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 25, of Article 4, of
the Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," and to re-
enact the same with an amendment.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Neill, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Mayor and
Council of Hagerstown, and authorizing the raising by taxa-
tion the sum of ten thousand dollars for the purposes and in
the manner hereinafter mentioned.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Marbury, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to prevent stationary or
permanent weirs or hedges being placed in the Western
Branch of the Patuxent river, and the Eastern Branch of
the Potomac and its Tributaries, without amendment.

Said bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Hardcastle, of Caroline, Chairman of a Select Commit-
