Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to intro-
duce a bill to repeal the Act of 1867, chapter 250, entitled an
Act to add a new section to Article 38, of the Code of Public
General Laws relating to "Bailiffs," and re-enact the same
with amendments

On motion of Mr. Mitchell,

Leave was granted to the Charles delegation and Mr. Mar-
tin to introduce a bill to amend section 140, Article 9, Code
of Public Local Laws for Charles county, sub-title "Sheriff."

On motion of Mr. Marbury,

Leave was granted to the Prince George's delegation to in-
troduce a bill to report a road law for Prince George's
county. ,

On motion of Mr. Mitchell,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend the Act of Assembly of 1868, chap-
ter 56, relating to "Crimes and Punishments."

On motion of Mr. Marbury,

Leave was granted to the Prince George's delegation to
introduce a bill authorizing the County Commissioners of
Prince George's county to lay off two additional election dis-
tricts in Prince George's county.

On motion of Mr. Wootton,

Leave was granted to the Select Committee on Tobacco Ware-
houses to introduce a bill to relieve J. B. Magruder, late In-
spector at Warehouse No. 1.

On motion of Mr. Choate,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill authorizing the Commissioners of Baltimore
county to sell Turnpike stock of said county.

On motion of Mr. Ehlen,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill amending the charter of the Empire Coal
Company of Allegany county

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend the 58th Article of the
Code of Public General Laws, relating to Lunatics and In-
sane, by adding certain sections thereto.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,
