Mr. Mjtchell presented the petition of Win. H. Mitchell,
Charles H. Lacey, T. M. Brawner and others, praying a
change in the law regulating fishing in. the Potomac river.

Also,

The petition of Wm. Turner, H. A. Burde, J, T. Wood
and others, to amend the law regulating fishing in the
Potomac river.

Also,

The petition of John M. Page, Wm. H. Higgs and others,
against the repeal of the existing road law of Charles county.

Also

The petition of Edward Miles and 38 other citizens of
Charles county, asking the passage of a law regulating fish-
ing for shad and herring in the Potomac river.

Also,

The petition of F. Elzone Gardmer and other citizens of
Charles county, praying the passage of a law regulating th
fishing for shad and herring in the Potomac river.

Which were severally read and referred to the Charles
delegation and Mr. Marbury.

Mr. Thomas, of Frederick, presented the petition of B. S.
Benson, Frank Young, and 92 other citizens of Baltimore
city, against the removal of the Eastern Hay Scales in said
city.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Martin, Chairman of the Committee on Slate Tobacco
Warehouses, submitted the following estimate of repairs for
State Tobacco Warehouses as compirted by present inspectors.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judici-
ary to whom was referred the petition of John W. Cheesurn and
otter citizens of Talbot county, praying the enactment of a
law for the protection of sheep by taxing dogs.

Also,

The petition of Edward Lloyd and other citizens of Talbot
county, praying the enactment of a law for the protection of
sheep by taxing dogs

Also,

The petition of James C. Morris and other citizens of Tal-
