Mr. Kirk submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Charles Nugent, an officer of this House,
have leave of absence until Wednesday next.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Harrington,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary, to
Introduce a bill to regulate the trial fees of the State's At-
torney for Dorchester county.

On motion of Mr. Kirk,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill providing for the erection of an additional
Live Stock Scale, and appropriating a sum of money there-
for.

On motion of Mr. McLane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to appropriate a sum of money to the
House of Refuge, for the completion of their building.

On motion of Mr. Welty,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Hope Mutual Life Insur-
ance Company of Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Choate,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to amend chapter 90, passed
January session, 1868, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Deer Park Turnpike Road Company of Baltimore county.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judici-
ary, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend section 33 Article 11, of the
Code of Public General Laws, relating to the admission of
Attornies at Law, by adding an additional clause to said
section,

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Crawford, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act for the better protection of fish in
the waters of Wicomico county, by limiting the time for
hauling seines.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Chapman, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
