The bill entitled an Act to authorize James S. Morsell,
Jr., of Calvert county, Mason L. Weems, George F. Need-
ham, of Baltimore city, and William B. Hill, of Prince
George's county, to construct a pier at No. 3 Tobacco Ware-
house wharf, in the City of Baltimore,
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend by adding, in the seventh line of the second sec-
tioa, after the words, "tobacco:" and other country produce
other than cord wood. And after the word "pier," in sev-
enth line of the second section, by adding the following
words : set apart for the use of vessels carrying tobacco.
Section 2, third line, after the word "left," by inserting
the word : exclusively. And fourth line, after the word,
"warehouse," and insert: and other country produce other
than cord wood. Ninth line, strike out word "said," and
insert: her side of the.
After the words "cord wood," in fourth line, insert: on
which said produce or other articles, the State Wharfinger
shall collect wharfage according to the rate of charges estab-
lished by the laws of the State.
Add at end of third section, the words : in good condition
and repair.
The amendments were severally read and adopted.
