Which was rejected.

Mr. Biddle moved that the House do now take a recess un-
til 8 o'clock this P. M.

Mr. Neill moved that the House do now take a recess until
7 1/2 o'clock this P. M.

The question recurring upon concurring in the motion sub-
mitted by Mr. Biddle, it was decided in the affirmative.

And the House at 3 1/4 o'clock P. M., took a recess until 8
o'clock this P. M.

NIGHT SESSION.

The House met.

erick, Bowlus, McCreery, Ritter, White, Ady, Baldwin, of
Harford, Hopkins, Banner, Hamilton, Cooper, Morse, Blake,
Webb, Wilson, of Baltimore city, Wiley, McLane, Colton,
Markland, Neill, Welty, Sword, Hilton, Veitch, Watkins,
Standish, Myers, Percy, Shower, Winters, Crouse, Merrick,
Gordy—58.

Mr. Biddle, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules
being suspended,) reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act of 1868,
chapter 4, entitled supplement to the Act of 1864, chapter
353, entitled an Act to incorporate the President and Com-
missioners of the Town of Cecilton.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Owings, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules
being suspended,) reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
Calvert county, to subscribe in. behalf of said county, to the
capital stock of the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad
Cpmpany, and issue bonds for the same, and provide for their
redemption.
