So the amendment was adopted.
Mr. Beck submitted the following amendment:
Sec. 1, title ''Baltimore City," at the end of line 20, add
the words: to the Orphans' Home, or Home for the Friend-
lets, for the Eastern Shore, five thousand dollars.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Gordy submitted the following amendment:
And that the like sum be appropriated to the several
counties of the State to be paid to the Board of School Com-
missioners for said several counties, to be applied to the use
of the public schools for said counties.
Which was rejected.
Mr. White submitted the following amendment:
Add after the word "dollars," in line 20, the words, to the
Burkettsville Female Seminary, Fr«derick county, twelve
hundred and fifty dollars.
