On motion of Mr. Bowlus,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Bowlus, Watkins, Brown,
of Queen Anne's, Mitchell and Hardcastle, of Talbot, to intro-
duce a bill requiring all persons building or re-building
dams across any of the streams of this State, to conform to a
certain grade or construct a fish way therein.
On motion of Mr. Gordy,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to repeal section one hundred and sixty-four,
Article thirty, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Religious Meet-
ings," and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Beck,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Beck, Wilmer and Brown to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Chestertown Gas Light
Company.
On motion of Mr. Neill,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate a company to make a turnpike
in Washington county, commencing at the forks of the Ha-
gerstown and Leiterstown Turnpike Road in Washington
county.
Mr. Merrick, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal all those sections of Article
4 of the Code of Public Local Laws for the City of Baltimore,
title "Inspections," from section 272 to section 567, also the
following Acts supplementary and amendatory thereto, to
wit, the Act of 1861, chapter 35 ; Acts of 1862, chapters
116, 199, 254 and 283 ; Acts of 1864, chapters 189, 328,
339, 346, 369 and 384 ; Acts of 1865, chapters 6, 165, 192
and 194 ; Acts of 1867, chapters 148, 241, 368 and 381 ; and
Acts of 1868, chapters 128, 295 and 458.

Also reported back,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 4 of an Act
passed January session 1868, chapter 466, entitled an Act to
run, define and mark the dividing line between Prince
George's and Montgomery counties, and re-enact the same
so as to read as follows, with proposed amendments.

Strike out section 4, and insert in lieu thereof the follow-
