NIGHT SESSION.

WEDNESDAY, March 16, 7 1/2 o'clock, P. M.
The House met.
Present at the call of the roll, the following members :

Messrs. Latrobe, (Speaker,) Loker, Beck, Wilmer, Kil-
bourn, Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, Wells, Owings, Mitchell,
Chapman, Cameron, Shipley, Gatch, Choate, Turner, Ham-
mond,Hardcastle, of Talbot, Brattan, Lankford, Harrington,
Woolford, Meekins, Touchstone, Owens, Richards, Biddle,
Marbury, Thomas, of Q.ueen Anne's, Brown, Dennis, Pur-
nell, Thomas, of Frederick, Bowlus, McCreery, Ritter,
White, Ady, Baldwin, of Harford, Hopkins, Garey, Sanner,
Hamilton, Morse, Blake, Webb, Wiley, McLane,Colton,Kirk,
Markland, Hoblitzell, Neill, Welty, Murdock, Sword, Hilton,
Watkins, Kean, Wilson, of Allegany, Standish Myers, Per-
cy, Shower, Jordan, Winters, Merrick, Gorman, Crawford,

On motion of Mr. Shipley, (the rules being suspended,)

The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate bill
entitled an Act to repeal the twentieth section of the Act of
1866, chapter 43, entitled an Act to incorporate the Presi-
dent and Directors of the Baltimore and Pikesville Railroad

Company, of Baltimore, and enact a substitute therefor.

Said bill being upon a third reading,
On motion of Mr. Shipley,

The vote by which the bill was ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading was reconsidered.

The bill being then upon a third reading,

On motion of Mr. Shipley,

The bill was reconsidered to a second reading, and

On motion of Mr. Shipley,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill referred to the Baltimore county delegation.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel county to correct the assessment of

certain real estate in said county, and to refund taxes paid
in error,
