On motion of Mr. White,

Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation, to intro-
duce a bill to require persons peddling carriages in Frederick
county, to take out a license therefor.

On motion of Mr. Wells,

Leave was grated to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate the People's Gas Light Company
in the city of Annapolis.

On motion of Mr. Marbury,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims, to intro-
duce a bill to refund to Nathan Masters, of Prince George's
county, thirty dollars and sixty-five cents, money erroneously
paid into the State Treasury as collector of taxes for the years
1864, 1865, 1866, 1867

On motion of Mr. Neill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Hagerstown Banking Fund
and Safe Deposit Company.

On motion of Mr. McCreery,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Johns
Hopkins Mutual Life Insurance Company of Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Thomas, of Queen Anne's,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill to amend section 132, sub-title "Sales," of Arti-
cle 16 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Chancery,"
by repealing and re-enacting said sections with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Gatch,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation, to
report a bill to authorize the County Commissioners for Bal-
timore county to have new books for registration made by the
officers of registration.

Mr. Chapman submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 16th, 1870.

Gentlemen of the Senate :

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
to hold a Joint Assembly of the two Houses, at eight o'clock
this evening, in the Hall of the House of Delegates, to meet
the Commissioners of Fisheries of the State of New York,
