Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Library.

Mr. Beck presented the petition of 35 citizens of Kent
county, praying for a law to prevent splashing in Fairlee
Creek.

Which was read and referred to the Kent Delegation and
Mr. Brown.

Mr. Sword submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, tha't Mr. Sei-
bert is absent from this House on account of sickness in his
family.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Winters,

Leave was granted to the Carroll delegation, to introduce
an Act to regulate fences in Carroll county.

On motion of Mr. McCreery,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill, to repeal all the sections of Article 4, of
the Code of Public Local Laws of the City of Baltimore, re-
lating to "inspections."

On motion of Mr. Gatch,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to amend the charter of the Baltimore and
Hall Springs City Passenger Railway Company.

On motion of Mr. Woolford,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims, to intro-
duce a bill to pay Charles H. Carter nineteen dollars erro-
neously paid into the State Treasury as taxes.

On motion of Mr. Ritter,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
report a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 6, of an Act
passed January session, 1867, chapter 298, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Pennsylvania Line Railroad Company, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Wiley,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation, to in-
troduce a bill to repeal section 808, of the Police Law of Bal-
timore city, of March 8th, 1867, and to re-enact the same
amendments.
