sum of money for the same.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Shipley, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to prevent the sale of spirituous or fer-
mented liquors within one mile of the Warren Factory, in
Baltimore county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 810, of Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws of the City of Baltimore,
chapter 367, passed at the January session, 1867, and re-
enact the same with amendments, so as to read as follows.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Bowlus, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled a supplement to the Act to incorporate the
Lutheran Congregation of Saint Paul's Christ's Lutheran
Church, and Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Frederick
county, passed at the December session 1849, of the General
Assembly of Maryland, chapter 310.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to Article
2, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title, " Middletown,"
to follow section 233.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Woolford, Chairman of a Select Committee, to whom
was referred the bill entitled an Act to amend 10th Article,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, of Dorchester county, by
adding thereto the following sections relating to the jurisdic-
tion of Justices of the Peace for said county.

Reported back the same with the following substitute
therefor:

A bill entitled an Act to extend the jurisdiction of Justices
of the Peace, in and for Dorchester, Kent, Caroline, Calvert,
Carroll, Queen Anne's and Worcester counties, to cases of
assault and battery.
