Mr. Cooper submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 14, 1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We request that your Honorable Body will return to this
House, a bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "City of
Baltimore," sub-title "Police," which was passed by the
House of Delegates March 10th, and sent to the Senate.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
On motion of Mr. Thomas, of Frederick,

Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to intro-
duce a bill to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section
310, of Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Fred-
erick county.

Also,

On motion of Mr. Thomas, of Frederick,

Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to intro-
duce a bill to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section
141, of Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws for
Frederick county.

On motion of Mr. Bowlus,

Leave was granted to Select Committee on Deaf and Dumb
Asylum, to introduce a bill to repeal section 2, Article 33, of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the education
of Deaf Mutes, and re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Marshall,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Tobacco Ware-
houses, to introduce a bill to add an additional section to
chapter 368, of the Laws of 1867, relating to Tobacco Ware-
houses.

On motion of Mr. Bowlus,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Agriculture, to
introduce a bill to prohibit the impounding of any cattle for
trespass on any land not enclosed by a good and substantial
fence.

On motion of Mr. Neill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Internal Improve-
