Which was read and referred to the Committee on Waysr
and Means.

Mr. Biddle presented the petition of J. L. Crookshank,.
Lewis Price and 2T others, asking for a law to enforce Town,
Ordinances, and tto require the more prompt discharge of
duty on the part of the Town Bailiff of the Town of Cecil-
ton, in Cecil county.

Which was read and referred to the Cecil delegation.

Mr. Brattan presented the petition of H. H. Dashiell &
Co., G. G. Gardner and 95 other citizens of Somerset county,
protesting against the passage of a law requiring non-resi-
dents selling goods, &c., by sample, in this State, to pay a
tax of three hundred dollars.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Crawford presented the petition of T. F. J. Rider, T.
B. Smith and 120 other citizens of Wicomico county, against
the passage of a law imposing a license of three hundred dol-
lars upon non-resident Traders.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Kean presented the petition of J. J. McHenry and
other citizens of Allegany county, for the passage of an Act
of Assembly authorizing and requiring the County Commis-
sioners of said county, to levy annually a sum of money for
the use«of the City of Cumberland.

Which was read and referred to the Allegany delegation.

Mr. Gordy presented the petition of Dr. Wm. H. Rider,
John White, Samuel Gordy- and 57 other citizens of Salis-
bury, protesting against the bill continuing the present
Board of Town Commissioners, two years beyond the time
for which they were elected.

Which was read and referred to the Wicomico delegation,,
and Mr. Purnell.

Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, presented the petition of
Reverends Henry Slicer, Wm. B. Edwards and Geo. Hildt,
asking an amendment to the "Law for the protection of
Camp Meetings."

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Garey submitted the following order :
