Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Veitch,

Leave Was granted to the Montgomery delegattion to intro-
duce a bill relating to and prescribing the method of opening
public roads in Montgomery county.

On motion of Mr. McLane,

Leave was granted to Messrs. McLane, Webb and Hob-
litzell to introduce a bill to repeal section 813, Article d, of
the Public Local Laws, title "Baltimore City," sub-title
"Taxes and Loans," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

On motion of Mr. Hammond,

Leave was granted to the Talbot delegation and Mr. Brown
to introduce a bill to repeal section 10, chapter 299, of the
Acts of 1868, entitled "Public Roads," so far as the same
may relate to Talbot county.

On motion of Mr. Hammond,

Leave was granted to the Talbot delegation and Mr. Hard-
castle, of Caroline, to introduce a bill to repeal chapter 329
of the Acts of 1868, entitled "Public Roads in Talbot and
Caroline Counties," so far as the same may apply to Talbot
county.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judici-
ary, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of Assembly of
1867, chapter 341, relating to the valuation and assessment
of property in this State.

Which was read, a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to regulate the trial fees of the
State' s Attorney for Kent county.
Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to amend Article 30, of the Code of
Public General Laws, by ,adding thereto additional sections.
regulating the execution of the death penalties.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Sanner, Chairman of the Committee on Pensions, re-
ported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act for the payment of an annual pen-
sion to William Brown, of Annapolis, who lost his opra. whilst
in the employ of the State.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Sword, Chairman Of Select Committee. reported favor-
ably,
