troduce a hill to repeal chapter 105, of the Acts of 1867, en-
titled an Act to authorize -the Pennsylvania Mutual Horse
Thief Detecting and Insurance Company, of York, Pennsyl-
vania, to transact business in the State of Maryland, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to amend aud re-enact section 25, Article 16, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title Chancery, sub-title,
Divorce.

On motion of Mr. Neill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill for the better protection of Hotel Keepers in
this State.

On motion of Mr. Winters,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
add an additional section to an Act approved March 30,
18C8, chapter 471, entitled General Corporation .Laws, in
order to make all promissory notes or other evidences of debt,
given to Mutual Fire Insurance Companies, operate as liens
upon property insured by said Companies.

On motion of Mr. Streett,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to repeal the tax on Mortgages.

On motion of Mr. Crawford,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Crawford, Gordy and Wool-
ford, to report a bill to regulate the time for catching fur in
Wicomico county, and to protect the same from foreign en-
croachments.

On motion of Mr. Choate,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to amend the game law of Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Owings,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Owings, Duke and Bald-
win, of Anne Arundel, to report a bill to change the Road
Law in Calvert county.

Mr. Sanner, Chairman of a Select Committee, submitted
the following

REPORT:

The Special Committee to whom was referred the Govern-
or's Message and accompanying documents, for distribution
