Mr. Thomas, of Frederick, moved that the House do now
adjourn.

Decided in the negative.
On motion of Mr. Webb,

At 3 o'clock P. M., the House took a recess until 8 o'clock,
this P. M.

NIGHT SESSION.

FRIDAY, March 11, 8 o'clock, P. M.
The House met.

Present at the call of the roll, the following members :

Messrs. Latrobe, (Speaker,) Loker, Beck, Kilbourn, Mitch-
ell, Chapman, Cameron, Gatch, Turner, Hammond, Brattan,
Lankford, Woolford, Meekins, Touchstone, Owens, Richards,
Marbury, Thomas, of Queen Anne's, Dennis, Purnell, Bow-
lus, McCreery, Ritter, Baldwin, of Harford, Streett, Hopkins,
Garey, Sanner, Blake, McLane, Colton, Markland, Neill,
Welty, Sword, Seibert, Veitch, Kean, Myers, Shower, Jor-
dan, Winters, Merrick, Gorman, Crawford, Gordy—47.

Mr. Baldwin, of Harford, (the rules being suspended,)

Reported the bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Harford county, to sell the present poor-
house farm, and purchase another, and erect suitable build-
ings for the use of the paupers of said county, with the fol-
lowing substitute therefor:

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Harford county, to sell a part of the poor-house
farm, and to erect suitable buildings for the use of the pau-
pers of said county, and levy a sum of money for that pur-
pose.

The substitute was adopted and the bill, as amended, read
a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third read-
ing.
Mr. McLane, (the rules being suspended,)

Submitted the following order :

Ordered, That when this House adjourns to-night, it stands
adjourned until Monday morning at 11 o'clock.

Which was read.

On motion of Mr. Hopkins,

The order was laid on the table.
