Mr. Cameron, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following prder:

Or.dered, That leave of absence be granted E. S. W. Choate, ,
to Tuesday next.

Which was adopted.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill:

A bill entitled a supplement to an Act to incorporate the
stockholders of the Franklin Bank of Baltimore, passed at
the November session 1810, chapter 167,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ments."

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend by adding the following section :

Section 2. And be it enacted, That the said Franklin Bank
of Baltimore, shall be subject to the several provisions, con-
ditions, restrictions and limitations contained in the Act en-
titled an Act to continue the corporate existence of the several
banking institutions therein mentioned, passed on the 30th
day of May 1853, chapter 441.

Amend the section now marked as number "2," by strik-
ing out the figure "2," where'it occurs in the first line, and
insert in lieu thereof, the figure 3.

Which were severally read.

Mr. Webb submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 10, 1870.

Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message returning a bill to amend
the charter of the Franklin Bank of Baltimore city, with
proposed amendment, and non-concur therewith; we therefore
propose, with the consent of your Honorable Body, a Com-
mittee of Conference on same.

We have named on the part of this House, Messrs. Webb,
McLane and Morse.

MILTON Y. KIDD,

Chief Clerk.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate,
and the bill therein referred to, returned to the Senate.
