Which was read a first time.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Bentley Spring
Mining Company.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Washington,
Colesville and Ashton Turnpike Company.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Rockville Town
Hall Company, in the town of Rockville, Montgomery county.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act to
incorporate the Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Anne
Arundel county, passed at the January session, 1868, chap-
ter 91, and re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time.
Also, reported favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Potomac
and Piedmont Coal and Railroad Company, with power and
authority for carrying on the mining of coal, the building
of furnaces, the bucning of brick, and for the transportation
of coal and other products of its mines and property to mar-
ket, and disposing of the same, with proposed amendment.

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

After the word "county," section 7, line 15, insert the
words : who shall be freeholders.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judici-
ary, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1 and 6 of chapter
329, of the Acts of the General Assembly, passed at January
session, 1867, entitled an Act to provide for the selection,
drawing and summoning of Jurors in the several counties,
and prescribing their qualifications, and to re-enact the same
with amendments.
