The Joint Assembly then proceeded to another ballot.
Upon counting the ballot, Mr. Malone, on the part of the
telhrs, reported that there had been 24 votes cast on the
part of the Senate, and 88 votes on the part of the House,
of which
John W. Davis received.......

Whereupon, it appearing that John W. Davis had received
a majority of all the votes cast, the hairman declared John
W. Davis duly elected Police Commissioner for the City of
Baltimore, for the unexpired term of the late Lefevre Jarett.
On motion of Mr. Clarke,
A call of the Joint Assembly was ordered.
