Leave was granted to the Committee on Roads aad High-
ways to report a bill to add an, additional section to Article
28, of the Code of Public General Laws, title, "County Com-
missioners," sub-title, "Public Roads."
On motion of Mr. Cooper,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to in-
troduce a bill for the appointment of an Inspector and
Weigher of baled hay, straw and husks for the City of Bal-
timore.
Mr. Martin submitted the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 10, 1870
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have received your message proposing the appoint-
ment of a Joint Special Committee of two on the part
of the Senate and three on the part of the House, to ex-
amine into the condition of the Land Office, and report what
legislation, if any, may be necessary in connection there-
with, and concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the House of Delegates,
Messrs. Martin, Ritter and Standish.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, to whom was referred the House bill entitled an Act
to amend the tenth Article of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Dorchester county, by adding thereto the following
additional sections, relating to the jurisdiction of Justices of
the Peace for said county, reported favorably thereon.
Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judicia-
ry, reported favorably, without amendments,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 16, of the
Code of Public General Laws, by adding thereto the following
sections relating to Trustees appointed by wills or by a de-
cree of a Court of Equity, to fill a vacancy in the office of
Trustee in any trust relating to real or personal estate or
leasehold property created by will
Also, reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to amend the Code of Public Gene-
ral Laws by adding an additional section under the title of
Publication of Laws, prescribing at whose cost, in what man-
ner and to whom the publication of certain Acts of Assembly
shall be certified.
