On motion of Mr. Streett,

The further consideration thereof was informally post-
poned.

The bill entitled an Act to amend section 1 of Article 38,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title, "Fees of Officers,"
by repealing and re-enacting the same with amendments,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to prevent the injury or destruc-
tion of baggage,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend section 9 of Article 28,
Code of Public General Laws, title, "County Commission-
ers," and to re-enact the same with amendment,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1868, chapter
294, entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of
Public General Laws, to be entitled "Domestic Insurance
Company," providing for annual reports of the condition of
the said several Insurance Companies incorporated under
the laws of this State, and doing business within the limits
thereof, and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Mcrrick submitted the following amendment :

Section 1, line 4, strike out the word "January" and in-
sert February. -

Which was adopted.

Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment:

Section 2, strike out the word "February" in 3d and 7th
lines, and insert in lieu thereof the word March.

Which was adopted, and the bill as amended read a second
time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 367, approved
Maich 30, 1868, entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Anne Arundel county, to subscribe in be-
half of said county to the capital stock of the Baltimore and
Drum Point Railroad Company, and to issue bonds for the
same, and provide for their redemption, and to re-enact the-
same with amendments,
