Mr. Hardcastle, of Talbot, submitted the following amend-
ment :

Amend section 1, by inserting after the figures, "1865," in
line 3, the words : entitled an Act to add an Article to the
Code of Public General Laws, in relation to the publication
<of laws.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Purnell submitted the following amendment :

Amend by adding at the end of section 2, but none of the
provisions of this Act shall apply to either. Somerset, Wico-

mico, Dorchester, or Worcester counties,

Which was adopted.

And the bill, as amended, read a second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
Carroll county to levy a tax of money "upon the assessable
property of Carroll county, to pay Robert J. Jamison, of
said county, for the boarding, clothing, and nursing of Ben-
jamin Jamison, a lunatic pauper of said county,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Crouse submitted the following amendment,

Section 1, line 7, strike out the word "sixty," before the
word "dollars." and insert the word seventy, and after the
word "dollars," insert,: or so much thereof as in their dis-
cretion they may deem proper and right.

Which was adopted.

And the bill, as amended, read a second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend and re-enact section 89,
Article 22, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Worcester
county, relating to the protection of fish in Synapuxent Bay,
in Worcester county.

Being upon a second reading,

On motion of Mr. Dennis,

Said bill was recommitted to the Worcester delegation.

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sums of money
therein mentioned to pay the claims of John Murphy & Co.,
the heirs-at-law of A. M. Payne, assignee of Seth M. Whaley,
Thomas E. Dell, Thomas Terry, C. A. S. Wolf, James S.
Franklin, S. Jackson & Co., James Hopkins, Sam'l Stewart,
Owen Disney, Jesse Marden, James E. Tate, and Cushing

& Medairy,
