Mr. Kilbourn submitted the following amendment:

Section 2, line 4, strike out after the word "exceed" the
word "fifteen," and insert the word twenty.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, submitted the following
amendment:

Section 2, line 5, insert after the word "district" the
words: who shall be a resident of the road district for which
he may be appointed, and.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Kilbourn submitted the following amendment:

Section 7, line 6, strike out the word "three," and insert
the woi d two.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, submitted the following
amendment:

At the end of section 7, add : if he shall claim such exemp-
tion, and moreover, no Supervisor shall be allowed to hire
his own carts, teams or laborers in his own private employ-
ment, for any service on said public roads.

Which was adopted.

Mr Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, submitted the following
amendment:

Section 11, line 2, insert after the word "obstruction :" or
by cultivating the same within fifteen feet from the centre.

Which was adopted,

And the bill, as amended, read a second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
present Trustees of the Lower West Nottingham Presbyterian
Church, or their successors, to receive and hold by conveyance
from William Little, three acres of land, in Cecil county, to
be used as a cemetery, and to hold the same in trust for said
purpose,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Owens submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 1, line 6, insert after the word "County," the words :
or their successors.
