Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to change the name of the town of
Tobacco Stick, in the fourth election district of Dorchester
county, to that of Bloomington,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Montgomery county, to add addi-
tional buildings to the Almshouse of said county, and to
levy a tax upon the assessable property of said county to pay
for the same,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Counfy Commis-
sioners of Montgomery county to repair the old jail, or to
build a new one, in their discretion, and to levy a tax upon
the assessable property of said county, to pay for the same,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Watkins submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 1, line 8, strike out after the word "the." the words
"old one," and insert the words: jail of said county.

Which was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read a second time, and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to fix the mode of electing the
President and Directors of the Hagerstown Gas Light Com-
pany, a company organized under the General Corporation
Law of 1852,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Citizen's Rail-
way Company of Baltimore city,

Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. McLane,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill ordered to be printed.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal and to re-enact with an
amendment, section 171, of Article 93, of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, entitled "Testamentary Law," and rela-
ting to the powers of the Orphans' Court,
