Mr. Standish, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act appropriating the sum of $25,000
for the repair of that part of the national road lying in the
State of Maryland and running from Cumberland to the
Pennsylvania line.

Mr. Harrington, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed January
session, 1864, entitled an Act to divide No. 10, or Straight's
District, in Dorchester county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Gordy, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably, without amendments,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 22, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, for Wicomico county, by adding
several new sections thereto, entitled an Act to extend the cor-
porate limits of the town of Salisbury, and to enlarge the
powers of the Town Commissioners of said town, to come in
after section 21 of said Article.

The bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of the General
Assembly, passed in the year 1866, chapter 156, entitled an
Act to establish the Maryland Industrial School for girls, by
providing for the appointment of State Directors therein and
the exercise thereby of the powers of a Female House of Re-
fuge,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 115, of Article 7,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Carroll County,"
sub-title "Westminster," and to re-enact the same with
amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 35 and 36, of
Article 7, Public Local Laws, title " Carroll County," sub-
title "Mount Airy,"
