duce a bill to repeal sections 25 and 26, Article 16, Code of
Public General Laws, entitled, " Chancery," and to re-enact
the same, with amendments.
On motion of Mr. McLane,
Leave was granted to the Judiciary Committee to intro-
duce a bill to amend section 24, Article 61, Code of Public
General Laws, entitled, " Mechanics' Lien," by repealing
said section as amended by Act of 1868, chapter 23, and to
enact the following in lieu thereof.
On motion of Mr. McLane,
Leave was granted to the Judiciary Committee to intro-
duce a bill to amend 16th Article of Public General Laws,
relating to Chancery, by repealing Act of 1861, chapter 32,
and adding to said Article the following section relating to
Injunctions and Receivers.
Mr. Blake, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled "An Act to repeal Section I, Arti-
cle 11, Constitution of Maryland."
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Purnell, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled, "An Act to amend an Act," passed
March 18th, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, entitled "Au
Act to revive and extend an Act to incorporate the Worces-
ter Railroad Company," passed at the January session,
eighteen hundred and fifty-three, with amendments.
Which was read a- first time.
The bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 939, Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws relating to Baltimore
City, " sub-title "Water," as enacted by charter 467 of the
Acts of Assembly, passed at the January session, 1868, and
to re-enact the said section so as to read as follows:
Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, said bill
was ordered to be printed,
And on motion of Mr. Kilbourn, referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
The bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections one and two
of chapter two hundred and forty," passed at the December
session of the General Assembly, eighteen hundred and
sixty-one, entitled "An Act to amend Article four of the
Code of Public Local Laws relating to the City of Baltimore,
by imposing penalties for polluting the waters of Swann
Lake, the Dam, Reservoir, Line of Conduit, Water Pipes,
