On motion of Mr. Merrick,

The House then proceeded to the consideration of the bill
entitled an Act to repeal section 28, of Article 56, of the
Code of Public General Laws, and re-enact the same with
amendments, so as to read as follows.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 28, line 3, before the word "hundred," strike out the
word "four," and insert the word three.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 28, line 17, strike out all after the word "to," and
insert: accept service of all legal process against such Com-
pany.

Which was adopted.

And the bill as amended, read a second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading, and having been en-
grossed,

Mr. Merrick moved that the bill be read a third time this
day.
