tain, and all obstructions placed by them in the Susquehanna
river, in violation of the aforesaid Act.

Mr. Owens, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the Trus-
tees of the Lower West Nottingham Presbyterian Church in
Cecil county, or their successors, to receive by conveyance a
lot of ground as an addition to the grove surrounding said
church.

Mr. Dennis, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 472 and 473, of
Article 4, Public Local Laws, title "Baltimore City," sub-
title "Livestock."

Mr. Brown, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commission-
ers of Queen Anne's county, at their next annual levy, to
levy on the taxable property in said county a sum of money
to be applied to the founding and support of schools for col-
ored children in said county.

Mr. Sword, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled a supplement to an Act entitled an Act to
authorize the Franklin Railroad Company, incorporated by
the State of Pennsylvania, to extend their works within the
limits of the State of Maryland, passed at December session,
1836, chapter 76, repealing so much of the first section of said
Act as empowers said Railroad Company to connect with the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal at or near Williamsport, and em-
powering said Franklin Railroad Company to connect with
said canal at Williamsport.

rably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Agricultural and
