Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Hilton,

Leave was granted to the Montgomery delegation to in-
roduce a bill for the repair of public roads in Montgomery

county.

On motion of Mr. Kean,

Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the Agricultural and Mechanical
Society of Allegany county, and West Virginia and Penn-
sylvania, to issue coupon bonds, and secure the same by deed

of trust.

On motion of Mr. Biddle,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend the charter of the town of Cecilton,
Cecil county.

On motion of Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Baldwin, of Anne Ajundel,
Wootton and Mitchell to introduce a bill to prevent the erec-
tion of gates upon the public county roads of Anne Arundel,
Prince George's and Cnarles counties where gates are not
now erected.

On motion of Mr. Martin,

Leave was granted to the Select Committee on State To-
bacco Warehouses to introduce a bill for the relief of Richard

S. Mercer.

On motion of Mr. Chapman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend Code of Public General Laws, by
adding additional section to Article, title "Publication of
Laws."

On motion of Mr. Veitch,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Rockville "Town Hall
Company," in the town of Rockville, Montgomery county.

Mr. Morse, Chai; man of the Committee on Corporations,

imported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Laurel,
Prince George's county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Wootton moved that the bill be read a second
time this day, under the provisions of section 27, Article 3,

of the Constitution.
